Do You Know a Brilliant Boss?

I am currently working on a book that I will be publishing titled “The Brilliant Boss”. I chose the title, “The Brilliant Boss” because I love the term brilliant. To me, is not only about intelligence. A brilliant boss is a person who casts a bright shadow and memorable harmonies for others that stand the test of time. Not to mention, the website name was available!
As you know, I have always been passionate about the practice (not the theory) of leadership. As a strategy, leadership and organizational effectiveness consultant, I’ve seen all kinds of leaders. I’ve seen the good, the bad, and the downright ugly. Personally, I’ve been lucky enough myself to have several bosses in my life that were exceptional at what they did. They were coaches and mentors. They were intelligent humble motivators and communicators with great judgment. And by their own actions, inspired me, and others who worked for them to do the best job that they could. One of them will be highlighted in this book.

Here is where you come in.

I’m looking to showcase stories of 8-10 brilliant bosses so we can all learn and be inspired. So I am inviting everyone in my LinkedIn community to send me an email with your top pick for a Brilliant Boss; someone in your life who offered you a very special opportunity to learn and brought a big lasting smile that remains to this day as you think of them.

In exchange for your nomination, I will provide you with a free copy of my book, The Brilliant Boss. And if your nominee is selected, I will invite you to introduce your
If you’ve been lucky enough to experience or know of a brilliant boss, I’d love to hear from you and have you become part of the book. All you need to do is shoot me an email at email hidden; JavaScript is required with your nomination and a brief description why you think they are brilliant by August 15th. If your nominee is selected, we’ll move on from there.

I’m really excited for this project and can’t wait to share the book with you in 2013. As always, thank you for your support!

Best,

David Dowling
