On Being Fit

Here’s your bit of inspiration for the day.

Being fit, strong, and centered really is matter of choice. And we all like choices, right?

It’s really up to you whether you want it or not.

In other words, it’s your choice.

I know it’s not always easy. Trust me, I know. We all have a million and one different excuses not to workout or take time for ourselves. You’re tired.¬†You’re hungry. It’s dark. It’s late. It’s early. You don’t feel like it. This or that hurts. And on, and on, and on.

Any of those can be a great excuses on a particular day. Sometimes it legit, sometimes it’s not.

But you know the truth. Regardless of what’s going on in your life, you still need to work out, eat right and take care of yourself.

In other words, you need to find a way to honor yourself.

Now, if you haven’t taken much time for yourself and have fallen off the wellness wagon so to speak, you might be staring at these workouts saying, “I can’t” or “I don’t want to” or “These seem too hard” or any number of reasons why you haven’t tried them.

That wagon may seem awfully far away and out of reach.

But you signed up for those workouts for a reason. Something inside of you made you do it.

To be more fit. Feel stronger. And get your fabulous back.

So here’s what I want you to know. Your wagon really isn’t far away. It may seem that way, but it’s not. Your wagon is actually right beside you.

How great is that? It’s been right there all along. You just have to make the decision to hop back on.

Whether you take a few days off, a few months, or maybe, just maybe, a few years. It’s OK. You can always get back on.

It’s kind of like the Wizard of Oz and the ruby red slippers. “You’ve always had the power my dear. You’ve had it all along.”

One of my favorite quotes by the way.

The power is inside of you. You just have to make the decision to do it.

In other words, you have to make the choice to be fit, strong and fabulous.

Don’t get caught up in all the reasons why you are where you are right now. It doesn’t do good to dwell on what you’ve done in the past. It really only matters what you choose to do from this point forward.

We’re all working on getting to the same goal – honoring ourselves by being healthy, fit, strong and centered. You’re not alone in this you know.

So here’s to your commitment to yourself. You’re so totally worth it!
